Westmead Children’s Hospital

The total hospital master plan is a low-rise, fragmented form and each of four zones was designed by a different team to ensure a degree of variety throughout the facility. It accommodates eighteen specialist clinics with individually landscaped courtyards, each with a unique character, creating the illusion of separate pavilions. The reduced scale produces a suitable environment for children.
