The Sunshine Coast Hospital is located on a 20-hectare site at Kawana Waters, Queensland. With a total bed capacity of 650, the site creates a world-class, tertiary acute-care facility.
The master planning process evolved from an initial examination of the demands and developments of the local community facilities and integration into a staged new town centre.
The core structure of the facility promotes a high-performance, healing environment respecting patient needs and the importance of encompassing local issues including the identity and place, environmental sustainability and the sub-tropical environment.
Joint Venture between Jackson Architecture, McConnel Smith and Johnson Architects and S2F.
