The Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre development included the design of an Olympic size covered arena and the refurbishment of the RAS stables. This provided alternative international standard dressage facilities for the 2000 Olympics. The arena has tiered seating for four hundred spectators. Other components of the project include two outdoor arenas for warm-up and practice as well as a new lunging yard, wash bays and associated sand rolls. The existing fodder store was refurbished and other existing buildings converted into a Veterinarian Surgery, a farrier and public amenities. The existing horse pavilions were internally refurbished and upgraded to contemporary equestrian standards. The planning of the precinct was important in achieving optimum circulation.
